At Art of Human Being, we offer tools in mindfulness, mental wellbeing, and self-inquiry with the mission of cultivating awakened hearts and minds. We aim to plant seeds to develop new ways of understanding our minds and relating to our lives, to strengthen our connection to ourselves, others, and the natural world.

Incubated in Columbia University’s Spiritual Wellness Lab, Art of Human Being offers teachings that blend meditation, ancient contemplative wisdom, and modern research on behavior change, neuroscience, and mental health. We believe that as we come to know ourselves on deeper levels, we are more able to live lives of purpose, passion, connection, and true fulfillment.
