We offer mindfulness coaching to individuals who have goals ranging from stress reduction and relaxation to personal growth and spiritual development. We work with new meditators as well as those who are looking to deepen their practice or learn new techniques. We work with those looking to directly explore mindfulness practice as well as those who are looking to simply apply mindfulness-based tools in psychological wellbeing and behavior change.

Mindfulness is an invitation to bring an open-hearted attention and curiosity to present-moment experience without judgment, pulling away, or grasping. We teach skills that can help anyone to live a happier, more peaceful, and more meaningful life.

Our teachings come from the Vipassana or “insight” tradition. Vipassana meditation is centered on mindful awareness practices and comes from the Satipatthana Sutta [Foundations of Mindfulness], a text attributed to the Buddha. While our training is in Buddhist mindfulness practices, we teach a secular form of meditation inspired and influenced by the teachings of Shinzen Young, an American mindfulness teacher and neuroscience research consultant who developed a secular and systematic approach to teaching meditation, which he calls Unified Mindfulness.
